Important Notice from the Ministry of Education
Grade 10 Provincial Exams - 2004/2005 School Year.
Graduation Program
- The New Graduation Program will take effect for students entering Grade 10 in September 2004.
- Student must also complete FIVE (5) PROVINCIAL GRADUATION PROGRAM EXAMINATION over the three grades.
The exams are in:
- Language Arts 10
- Mathematic 10 (one of Principles of Math 10, Applications of Math 10 or Essentials of Math 10)
- Science 10
- Social Studies (one of Social Studies 11, BC First Nations 12 or a new grade 11 course in civics)
- Language Arts 12 (one of English 12, Communications 12 or Technical and Professional Communication 12)
- Exam marks worth 20% (except Language Arts 12 worth 40%), will be blended with course marks,
worth 80% (60% for Language Arts 12). While students are not required to pass a specific exam,
they are required to pass the course in order to graduate.

About the Exam
- Exams will be two hours in length, plus 30 minutes if required by any specific student.
